“SPRING BOTTLE & CAN DRIVE”
Our spring bottle & can drive was the most successful drive that Troop 160 has ever had. We collected 35,563 returnable containers and raised $2,215.51. Since the drive exceeded the budgeted dollar amount, the members of the troop will have to decide what they would like to do with the excess funds at the end of the summer.
The members of Troop 160 would like to thank all of the parents that helped by driving or counting.


“VIRGINIA ROAD TRIP”
• July 27 leave Lewiston / August 2 return to Lewiston
• All participants will be staying overnight at the Basilica on Monday, July 26 / Meet at 7:00 PM
Sleeping bags will be left in storage at the Basilica until our return
• Since we will have limited cargo space, each participant will be allowed one large duffle bag & one carry on
bag. The carry on bag should be small enough to fit under the seat…A small daypack is recommended.
• REQUIRED CLOTHING = “CLASS A” UNIFORM, (2) TROOP T-SHIRTS, TROOP SWEATSHIRT
“Class A” Uniform includes scout pants (or shorts & socks), Scout related cap, Troop neckerchief
Civilian wear will be allowed on travel days, when we visit Virginia Beach, and at the hotel
• We will be staying at the Day’s Inn Newport News / Oyster Point at City Center

• The trip will include Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Virginia Beach, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, and BSA National Jamboree
• The trip fee will include transportation, lodging, admission fees, and a daily food allowance of $25
• Scouts will be returning home on Monday, August 2nd
Scouts should be arriving home between 8:30 and 9:30 PM
Scouts will be dropped of at their homes
